About the Department


The exponential growth of data generated by machines and humans present unprecedented challenges and opportunities. From the analysis of this “big data”, businesses can learn key insights about their customers to make informed business decisions. In this program, students will learn key techniques used to design and build big data systems and gain familiarity with data-mining and machine-learning techniques that are the foundations behind successful information search, predictive analysis, smart personalization, and many other technology-based solutions to important problems in business and science..

Standard, constructive rules and procedures are followed in day-to-day operations. The department head is freely accessible to students and faculty members for consultation, sharing of new ideas, and general guidance. A high degree of team spirit is developed and sustained in the department.

“Mr. JAYARAM C V is working as Professor in the Dept. of Computer Science and Engineering MYCEM, Mysuru. He completed her BE in Computer Science and Engineering from PES College of Engineering, Mandya and M.Tech in NIE,Mysuru .His Teaching and research interest are Cloud Computing ,Computer networks, computer architecture, Data mining , Testing, Software architecture . Published number of research papers in National and International journals and conferences. He has guided number of M.Tech students, Life member of ISTE and as a chairperson for many Conferences”.

Ms. Madhurya T is working as an Assistant Professor in the Dept. of Information Science and Engineering, MyCEM, Mysuru. She obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and Engineering from GSSSIETW, Mysuru and Master’s Degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Vidya Vardhaka College of Engineering, Mysuru. Her teaching and Research interest are Web Technology, Graphics Design, Network Security and Machine Learning. Her Technical Presentation and publication details are as follows: • Published her paper “An adaptive Approach to Text Detection and Recognition in Natural Scene Images” in International Journal of Engineering Research and Technology (IJERT), Volume 5, Issue 20. • Published her paper “Content Based Classification of E-Mails”, in International Journal for Scientific Research and Development (IJSRD), Volume 7, Issue 3, ISSN: 23210613 • Attended a National Level FDP on “A Practical Approach towards Big Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence” at GSSSIETW, Mysuru.

Mrs. Shwetha M R is working as an Assistant professor in the Dept. of Computer Science and Engineering. MYCEM, Mysuru. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Govt. Engineering college Chamarajanagar. And Master’s degree in Software engineering from SJCE Mysuru. Mrs. Harshitha M working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, MYCEM, Mysuru. She secured her Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Srinivas Institute of Technology, Mangalore and Master’s Degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Shree Devi Institute of Technology, Mangalore. Her teaching and research interest are Computer Network, Software Engineering and Python. Mrs. Roopa R working as an Asst. Prof. in the department of CSE MYCEM, Mysure. She completed her BE CSE and Mtech from MIT Mysore. Her teaching interest are OS, Cloud Computing, Big Data, Web designing and Java.
